ABOUT BANGLADESH FASHIONOLOGY

Apparel and Fashion Industry is on the cusp of a huge transformation and disruption enabled by digital and technological advances sweeping the entire business and consumer expectations landscape. We believe that time is ripe for Bangladesh – the second largest apparel exporter to the world, to take a leadership role in shaping, defining and initiating a future that is sustainable and profitable for all stakeholders. Bangladesh Fashionology Summit is a pioneer initiative at bringing together the Apparel and fashion industry innovation ecosystem from around the globe in one Place. The event promises to be an ultimate platform for discovery, networking, learning and inspiration.

Our mission is to facilitate the much needed modern, innovative, technology driven apparel manufacturing and supply chain conversations and build a community of industry leaders and innovators who will help to guide our nation to transform into a ‘next-generation’ manufacturing hub enabled by digital and technological advancements.

The ideas and discussions will be brought closer ton reality by an exhibition in parallel hosting a diverse range of forward-thinking exhibitors. All the key stakeholders of Bangladesh apparel and textile industry are going to gather at Bangladesh Fashionology Summit to discuss, show and tell the latest products, technologies and innovations that will shape the future of the industry.

Conversation Themes

The Bangladesh Fashionology Summit intends to spark and initiate conversations around the top transformational trends that are shaping the future of things to come in the apparel and textile industry. The ‘forever connected’ consumer with shifting loyalties to brands, seeking alignment of their purchase with their deeper values- are that much more difficult to please and that much more unpredictable.

‘Omni Channel’, ‘Instant Fashion’, ‘See now, Buy-now’, ‘Rapid Virtual Prototyping’, ‘Smart fitting rooms enabled with RFID and Augmented Reality’, ‘Virtual Reality Fashion Shows’, ‘Gender Neutral Fashion lines’, ‘Ethical and Sustainable Innovation’, ‘Smart Wearables- like the Google and Levi’s Project Jacquard Denim Biker Jacket’, ‘Mass customization and personalization models like Shoes of Prey’ are some of the top themes that our industry is witnessing as a response mechanism on the Retail End of the value chain. To keep pace with all this change, ever quicker product lifecycles, shorter order lead-times, growing product variants, what is needed at the Supply and Manufacturing end of the apparel value chain?
